What a great scrapbooking week!!!

This has been a great week for me.  First I found out that I was the winner of an Apron Strings scrapbook kit over at the Scraps of Color E:spire.  You can check it out here.  Then  I learned that I was the winner of the Christian Paper Crafts Love in In the Air Blog Hop.  I'll be receiving the "He is the Lamb" stamp set by Mark's Finest Papers.  And today I learned that my "Springtime In Washington" layout was the winner of the Beat the Winter Blues Blog Hop at Christian Paper Crafts.  For that I'll be receiving a new stamp set by Kim Hughes.  Don't you just love surprizes and free scrapping goodies?!!  Thanks and praise be to God for the wonderful blessings.

Of course I couldn't leave you without a layout.  My 2 Tim's love to play around and have fun.  They even invent their own games.  Here's a layout of a game I call "Pillow Boxing".   Looks like they're having a good time.

CPC Blog Hop

There's a blog hop going on today over at Christian Paper Crafts.  The theme is "Beat the Winter Blues".  I thought we might be beating the blues around here yesterday as the day started out unseasonably warm... close to 70 degrees.  However, by evening, the temp had dropped significantly and there was even some talk of snow.  Fortunately that was just talk, but it is really cold and windy today.  So here's a layout to help us beat the winter blues.

Supplies used:  Patterned Paper -ki memories; Journaling Tag- K & Co.; Flowers- an assortment from my stash, perhaps (Prima & Imaginisce);  Gems- K & Co., Bazzill;  Ribbon- my stash; Letters- Quickutz; Border Punch- Fiskars

Come hop along with us over at the Christian Paper Crafts Blog Hop.  Just click here  and we'll help you beat the winter blues.  Make sure you go down to the bottom of the post so you don't miss any of the great projects.

Our Daily Bread Designs

It's time for the February Let Your Light Shine Scrapbook Challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.  This month's challenge is 1-1-11 and it's to use one striped paper, one scripture stamp and one embellishment. You can add more, but there must be a minimum of one each.  In honor of my husband's birthday, I decided to do a layout about him for the challenge.

Happy Birthday Tim!!!

Today is my husband's birthday.   1 year post Jubilee or a half century plus 1. Funny how when we were younger, 51 seemed ancient.  Now, not so much LOL.  I'll be back a little later with a layout for the day but for now...

Happy Birthday Tim.  May you continue to let your light shine for many years to come.  I love you.

Happy Valentine's Day

Today is the day that is set aside by the world to celebrate love.  We exchange cards and gifts with our loved ones, we tend to show a little more kindness, and even strangers spread love and well wishes.  Wouldn't it be great if we approached every day as if it were Valentine's Day?

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.  If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.  If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.
Love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13:1-8 (NIV)

Today's layout is a photo of my husband and I taken at last year 's Sweetheart banquet.

I've Been Published!

I didn't think I'd ever say those words again.  A couple years ago, I was very active in the "professional, public" scrapbooking arena.  Then I entered another season of my life and scrapbooking took a back burner to some other things.  Now that season is ending and I'm reconnecting with my passion for scrapbooking.  On a whim,  I decided to submit a layout to a page call from a new scrapbook magazine titled, "Scraps of Color".  The premiere issue is out today and my layout is in the magazine!! Due to terms of publication, I can't post the layout here yet, but if you click on Scraps of Color you can download a copy of the magazine. My layout is on page 76.  While you're there, take a look through the entire magazine.  It's full of scrappy inspiration and lots of wonderful projects.
