Word Art Wednesday #56

Happy Wednesday!!  Today's word art is from the Book of Psalms...

Last week, in the US, we celebrated Thanksgiving.  It's a day that everyone "gives thanks" and "counts their blessings".  Who is the source of all these blessings we're counting?  Definately not you or me.  All that we are and all that we have comes from the Lord.  He is the ultimate source.  Without Him, we have nothing.  So when we are giving thanks, first and foremost, we should be giving thanks to God.  God is good...all the time!!!   We shouldn't have to wait for a man made holiday to tell us to be thankful,  let us thank him always!!

Today's scripture was one of my mother's favorites.  Although she went to be with the Lord 11 years ago,  in my head I can still hear her reciting it...

O give thanks unto the Lord for He is good; His mercy endureth forever.

She is really missed at our Thanksgiving table...

  7. Gemiel: Oh, honey - I didn't know that your Mom had gone to be with the Lord. I'm so sorry to hear that. I just know that she would be SO happy for you, and so blessed to know that you are a Godly wife and mother, and that you're living your life for His glory. Where she is, it's ALL about Jesus, and it would just bring her such joy if she were able to see what a wonderful testimony your life is for Him. You WILL be with her at the Thanksgiving table again, Gemiel - and it will be the best meal ever!
    Blessings,
    Karen

  9. Thank you for sharing your precious mother's verse and memory with us...her words are eternally glorifying to God! I can only pray to be that sort of mother where my children will remember me reciting God's words and that my hope in Him will be their hope also (always). Your picture is beautiful and so is your layout Gemiel~
